Passenger elevators are classified according to drive mode

AC elevator: Elevator with AC induction motor as driving force. According to the drag mode can be divided into AC single speed, AC double speed, AC voltage regulation speed, AC variable voltage frequency conversion speed regulation.

DC elevator: a DC motor as the driving force of the elevator. The rated speed of this kind of elevator is generally more than 2.00m/s.

Hydraulic elevator: general use of electric pumps to drive liquid flow, from the plunger to lift the elevator car.

Rack and pinion elevator: the rails are machined into a rack, the car is fitted with gears engaged with the rack, the motor drives the gears to rotate and lifts the car.

Screw lift: direct push the plunger lift process into rectangular thread, then the big nut with a thrust bearing installed on the top of the cylinder, and then through the motor through the speed reducer (or belt) rotating the nut, so that the lift screw jack up the car to rise or fall.

An elevator driven by a linear motor whose power source is a linear motor. In the early days of the lift, steam engine and internal combustion engine were used as the power to drive the elevator directly. Now it is almost extinct.

There is no strict speed classification in elevators, and China is customarily classified according to the following methods.

Low speed ladder: usually an elevator below 1.00m/s speed.

Medium speed ladder: usually means speed at 1 ~ 2.00m/s elevator.

High speed ladder: usually more speed than 2.00m/s elevator.
